Winter is a great time to hibernate. But when you're not cutting Zs or sawing logs, eating is the activity of choice. So break out the stoneware bowls and the big spoons -- it's dinner time! With a few choice ingredients and a little quality time in the kitchen, these simple, nutritious meals will give you enough warmth to last 'til spring.

Meaty, cheesy and tossed with crispy greens, our Chef's Salad with Bleu Cheese Dressing makes for an ideal opening course. Follow it up with a hearty bowl of White Chili, brimming with pork and a variety of beans. Of course, you'll need something to sop up that chili, and we recommend a fresh, warm slice of Cheddar Onion Bread.

Need something a bit hotter? Start off with our zesty Greek Salad doused in a spicy Onion Vinaigrette. Next, serve up a piping hot bowl of our Black Bean and Sausage Stew. Add a few Onion Herb Rolls or Cornmeal Biscuits, and you'll be all set for this delicious wintertime treat.

If you're the soup-and-sandwich type, here's a sure-fire belly warmer! Our hot Tuna Provolone Melt is a flavorful way to fend off the winter hungries. Combined with a bowl of Spicy Pumpkin Chili Soup, and you've got a meal guaranteed to please!

Spring may still be a long way off, but keeping the cold away is as close as your stovetop. And with meals like these, even the bears will come out of hibernation!
