Mushroom-Wine Sauce |

1-1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms 2 tablespoons sliced green onion 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tablespoon butter 1 teaspoon cornstarch 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup water 1/3 cup dry white wine Fresh ground pepper In a medium saucepan cook mushrooms, onion, and garlic in butter until tender. Stir in cornstarch, thyme, salt and pepper. Stir in wine and water all at once. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Serve with meat, or toss with pasta.
